                            Knock, knock…….

                            By Richard J Grund

                            “I hear you knockin’ but you can’t come in;

                            I hear you knockin’ but you can’t come in;

                            I hear you knockin’ but you can’t come in;

                            Go back to where you been”

                            (song by Fats Domino; written by Dave Bartholomew & Pearl King)

                            The song mentioned above was about an old lover that went away and wanted to come back.  The paranormal and paranormal investigations are a lot like that song.  There are things knocking at the door and we should tell them not only can’t they come in but they should go back to where they’ve been.

                            As children we played a game called “knock knock”.  One person would say “knock, knock” and the other person will say “who’s there?”  The answer will then followed by some sort of corny punch line.  I wish that I could say that the explosion of paranormal activity was a corny punch line but I would be misleading you.  The ramped up, amped up explosive nature of the paranormal is nothing to laugh at or smile about.  I would know because I’ve been confronting and dealing with paranormal problems for over 23 years.  Before that I was a dabbler in the occult and someone who got lost in the darkness of a supernatural life for 30-years prior.  From my first encounter with spirits in my crib to the ghostly playmate that joined me in my bedroom every day when I was four-years old, to almost full blown possession at the age of 32; I know all too well the reality and dangers of allowing the paranormal in.

                            In the early 1800s John Dalton was curious about the composition of matter.  He began to study it and notice that matter was comprised of tiny units called atoms.  He was astonished to see that these atoms had specific patterns and rules when he discovered that hydrogen always mixes with oxygen at the same proportion of two atoms of hydrogen to one atom of oxygen (H2O or water).  He proposed that within any compound atoms combine in specific, natural ratios.  As in the previous example of natural element of water this proposal coincided with the conservation of mass whereby atoms can only be altered or redistributed but cannot be created or destroyed.  It would be many more years before the makeup of the atom was discovered to contain a nucleus and an electron that spins around it.  Astonishing enough the electron was normally visible.  It only became visible when the atomic element was under a microscope and someone was looking at it.  Out of the gas would appear this spinning electron.  The ultimate conclusion was that it was not seen unless someone wanted to see it.

                            The reason I went into this brief science lesson was to get you to understand how the spiritual realm works.  The reason we are have an explosion of paranormal activity is because there has been an explosion of paranormal investigators.  Instead of curtailing the activity it is being encouraged and expanded by the number of people wanting to “see” something.  Their intent and desire to see becomes a magnet that pulls something that wants to be seen into this reality.  So, unless you are going entering into an investigation with the intent to remove the presence or close the opening that it has come through you are only going to make things worse.  This is both a scientific and spiritual principle.  I know this too from experiential knowledge as I head up a team (SRT, the Supernatural Response Team) that takes on the worst of the worst cases of paranormal activity.  Almost always we are following a team or teams of paranormal investigators into a situation that went from bad to worse.  And, since these spirits need energy to manifest, they are feeding not only off of the massive amounts of battery powered or electrical equipment teams are bringing with them but are also feeding off of the body’s energy as well.  We can add to that the amount of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, HAARP and other electrical waves surrounding us and come to the conclusion that the things that go bump in the night are amped up and juiced up to a point never seen before in modern history.

                            So, why am I sharing this?  With 49 reality shows on Television regarding the supernatural and paranormal (and more coming) the interest in this topic has grown.  More and more people are getting involved in investigations and ghost hunting.  That means instead of seeing a decrease in activity we will see the increase we are seeing.  And, we are seeing spirits becoming more active, more visible and more powerful than before.  That cannot be good!  The only hope anyone with paranormal or supernatural problems is to cut off the spirits’ energy, close the door they come through and shut them out.  I know for most that read this my suggestion will be ignored.  So, let me leave you with one more visual.

                            Let’s say you lived in a neighborhood near an Asylum for the Criminally Insane.  It’s not a great place to live but at least there is a strong fence and protection between you and the dangerous occupants of this facility.  Now imagine curious spectators and visitors keep cutting holes in that fence to sneak in to see how bad the place is or to see what kinds of criminal are in there.  People are just natural curious no matter how gory or discomforting it is.  That’s why they slow down at car accidents to see how bad it is.  And, let’s say that after these curiosity seekers leave they do not close their opening.  That would mean that sooner or later what was on one side of the fence is now on your side of the fence.  The people considered too dangerous for interaction with society are now roaming the streets near your house, your family and your children to do as they please.  That is what the constant poking of holes into the veil between the two worlds has done over the last 5-years with the explosion of paranormal investigations and “ghost hunting” has done.  The veil between the two worlds is essentially ripped and the things on the other side are wandering free, untethered and fully empowered.

                            Now, I know this may be an opinion not well received by the paranormal community.  This observation is coming from a lifelong experience in the supernatural and 23-years of putting these “things” back where they belong.  You have the right to disagree with me.  Let me know how that works out for you.
